Timex Multisport Team Camp

The Timex Multisport Team held their team camp in early march in the sunny town of Tucson, Arizona. This is the Timex Multisport Team’s 15th season and continues to be the longest running professionally managed triathlon team. The team consists of 50 athletes, 8 professionals and 42 high level age groupers, and a small management team that rack up close to 300 races per year. The early season camp is used to bring the entire team together including team partners and sponsors, get some good workouts in and build on the team aspect that they’ve been so well known for.

Team Timex debuted their new kit for 2016 at camp. The kit goes along seamlessly with thier new Trek Project One Speed Concept team bikes.

A typical day at a Timex Multisport Team camp starts shortly after 5am with a shuttle to the nearby University of Arizona Recreation Center pool for swim workouts.

Then back to The Lodge on the Desert for a Skratch Labs breakfast prepared by chef Gabe Kennedy.

The day continues with Team Sponsor presentations, team photos, team building challenges, product feedback meetings, athlete orientation and training seminars.

Everyone seems to organize a run and a ride at some point throughout the day.

Skratch Labs refuels and gives everyone’s taste buds a workout, these meals became what everyone seemed to really look forward to, and you can see why.

Lunch is followed by more team building, sometimes with challenges, other days include another round of workouts.

The day is finished with a cocktail or two and a team dinner, by this time everyone’s looking forward to another 5am wakeup call so they can do it all over again. So is the life of a triathlete, we can't wait to see what the season brings for this dedicated team.
