On September 10 and 11,SLA hold SHIMANO Fest: a bicycle and fishing event for the whole family and outdoor lovers.

Since 2010 SHIMANO Fest has united these two outdoor activities, cycling and fishing which is also very popular in Brazil.

This year along with bicycle test rides; children’s playground; cine bike; workshops;
entertainment for kids, fishing competitions and many different activities for the whole family, we had the Final of SHIMANO Short Track Latin American Circuit. There were the 70 top athletes of Latin America, including 15 foreign athletes that won the stages in Argentina,Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama, besides the winners of Brazil stage.

SHIMANO Fest 2011 also had fishing competitions as Long Cast, Accuracy Cast, ‘Fishing for Kids’ with prizes, presence of personalities from famous Fishing TV Show, and exhibition of SHIMANO fishing
products.

SHIMANO Fest 2011 gathered a good number of bicycle brands at the "Expo Village" helping increase the good relationship with partners.

Special Race for Kids: SHIMANINHO

For the SHIMANO Short Track Final, which happened on Sunday, we had live transmission through web (streaming) on dedicated link, and all Latin American countries involved in the final was able to follow the race.

We created great awareness of the brand for a large number of people on both segments: Bike and Fishing.
SHIMANO Fest 2011 was very successful and will be remebered for long time, establishing the event as one of the most important in our continent.

In the end, we believe to have achieved our goal with this event, which was: to realize a good race; offer a nice environment for the family and integrate Shimano fishing and bicycle in an outdoors event. All of this, supporting our products release and congregating different bicycle and products brands without restrictions, in a real sports spirit.
