End of the 100th Tour de France
The 100th Tour de France was a very successful edition for SHIMANO. From the first to the last stage, the yellow jersey was worn by a SHIMANO sponsored rider. Starting with Marcel Kittel (Argos-Shimano) in Corsica, followed by Jan Bakelants (RadioShack-Leopard), Simon Gerrans and Daryl Impey (both Orica-GreenEdge). Chris Froome (Sky Procycling) claimed the yellow jersey when he finished first at the mountain top finish to Ax 3 Domaines. The following 13 stages and 2,058.5 km he stayed on top of the General Classification and took the yellow jersey back to Great Britain. In total 11 stages were won by teams shifting SHIMANO.

Also 9 stages were won on SHIMANO wheels and 6 stages on SHIMANO shoes. Especially the limited edition blue R320 shoes worn by, for instance, Marcel Kittel at his four stage wins, were an eye catcher.
