Based on a revolutionary new design concept born out of a first time ever collaboration between Shimano and cutting-edge design and innovation firm IDEO, comes a new reason to ride a bike: pure and simple FUN.

User-defined
Through observation-based consumer research, the IDEO / Shimano team created a new design platform for a familiar pastime. Shimano’s Coasting component system shifts automatically, selecting the perfect gear based on speed. A front hub dynamo powers the computerized shifting system, eliminating the need for batteries.

Easy going
As the rider increases speed, the bike shifts up. As the rider decreases speed, the bike shifts down. It also features a coaster, or foot-operated, brake. With no confusing levers to complicate the experience, the rider is free to focus on the pure fun of riding. Pedal forward to go, pedal backward to stop.
