DRYSHIELD

DRYSHIELD® boasts two essential properties that help to maximize cyclist comfort. First, it's waterproof to prevent rain and splashes from permeating the fabric. And second, it's breathable so that moisture from perspiration can be effectively released. Stringently tested in realistic wet weather conditions, DRYSHIELD® lets you ride in the rain without the discomfort of accumulated sweat. Stay dry and comfortable when the weather turns bad.

NEXT GENERATION METALLIC THERMAL TECH

Next Generation METALLIC THERMAL TECH’s larger surface area works to reflect infrared radiation released by the body. That radiation in turn warms up the layer of air between the fabric and the skin, helping to keep the temperature inside the clothing warm and comfortable. The new soft-textured surface also helps prevent the fabric from clinging to the skin.

SOFT SHELL

SHIMANO FUSION CONCEPT wind tights, jerseys and jackets utilize special Dual layer softshell fabrics. The outer layer offers durable protection. The center breathable layer blocks water and wind allowing excess body moisture vapor to escape. The soft brushed inner layer provides warmth and comfort.


NEW ULTRA-DURABLE 80/20 PREMIUM WATER-REPELLENT COATING

Adding a finish for water repellency to a fabric increases the ability of the base material to resist water over time. We are adding an improved coating that lasts longer, even through repeated laundering. 80/20 Water-Repellent Coating maintains 80% of its effectiveness even after 20 wash cycles.

WIND-BLOCKING FABRICS

We utilize a select collection of sophisticated wind-blocking fabrics, each with excellent ventilation characteristics to reduce moisture retention. These fabrics feature the ability to rapidly vent excess sweat moisture, while blocking the wind, preventing excessive cooling from perspiration held next to the skin.



BREATH HYPER

When water vapor released by the body enters a complex cluster of molecules inside the BREATH HYPER yarn, the molecules expand and create energy. This energy in turn generates heat, resulting in the characteristic BREATH HYPER warming effect.

By warming the core, BREATH HYPER promotes blood flow to the hands and feet - areas that are vulnerable to the cold. It also draws moisture away from your skin to reduce the chilling effects of sweat.
