Job Description

-Design and conduct experiments, simulations, and tests to evaluate the aerodynamic performance of bicycle wheels using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, wind tunnel testing, and field testing.

-Analyze and interpret data from experiments, simulations, and tests to draw conclusions and make recommendations for improvements in wheel design and performance.

-Collaborate with product designers to integrate aerodynamic features and technologies into bicycle wheel designs, considering factors such as weight, stiffness, and stability.

-Conduct performance testing and validation of bicycle wheel prototypes to assess their aerodynamic performance, efficiency, and stability in real-world cycling conditions.

-Be updated on the latest advancements in aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, and industry standards related to bicycle wheels to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement in research and development processes.

-Collaborate with external partners, such as aerodynamics researchers, wind tunnel facilities, and material suppliers, to leverage their expertise and resources in advancing bicycle wheel aerodynamics research.

-Conduct document research findings, prepare technical reports, and present results to internal stakeholders and external audiences.

-Any Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirments

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

-Minimum 3-5 years of experience in conducting research and development activities related to aerodynamics and performance of bicycle wheels is a plus.

-Preferably with strong understanding of aerodynamics principles, computational fluid dynamics, and wind tunnel testing.

-Proficiency in using CFD software for aerodynamic simulations is preferred.

-Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to aerodynamics and performance of bicycle wheels will be advantages.

-Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

-Strong communication skills to document research findings, prepare technical reports, and present results.

-Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in aerodynamics and cycling technology through continuous learning and professional development.

-Passion for cycling and knowledge of bicycle components, technologies, and trends is desirable.

-Working Location: Bulim Walk (Nearest MRT: Boon Lay)

-Mondays - Fridays: 8:00am to 5:30pm
