What's old is new at NAHBS 2017
This 1984 Moots Mountaineer features the original DEORE XT M700 groupset. The M700 was Shimano's first mountain bike rear derailleur, and featured the deerhead logo. This bike is full of unique features and accessories, including the 'Moots Mounts' that allowed for cantilever brake adjustments for use with different wheel sizes, as well as the round wooden road handles. This Mountaineer is now a part of the collection at The Pro's Closet Bicycle Museum.
