PRO demonstrates its continued product development to meet the needs of mountain bikers with today’s announcement of the new Tharsis 3Five enduro range of mountain bike stems and handlebars for 2020. Adding to the Tharsis line of XC and Trail mountain bike handlebars and stems, the new Tharsis 3Five Enduro components join the lineup answering the even more extreme needs of enduro riders with new stems and handlebars with oversized, 35mm diameter clamp areas.
Made from high-end T800 carbon fiber, the new lightweight Tharsis 3Five Carbon Handlebar tips the scales at 198g, yet maintains the stiffness and performance for today’s demanding enduro and aggressive trail riders. With its oversized 35mm clamp area it brings a boost to steering stiffness and greater strength with a bar that’s still compliant enough to be easy on riders’ hands.
The Tharsis 3Five Carbon Handlebar has a 20mm rise, 9 degrees backsweep and is 800mm wide but can be cut to 720mm for a perfect fit. An alloy AL-7050 Tharsis 3Five bar is also available in the same specifications, weighing 270g.
To accommodate the new 35mm beefier clamping area on the bars, a new CNC machined Tharsis stem is also available. This alloy 7050 stem weighs 150g and is available in 35mm, 45mm and 55mm lengths, coming with 0 degrees head angle and a stack height of 4mm.
The new PRO Tharsis handlebar and stem will be on show at Fort William World Cup and available on selected demo bikes at Sea Otter Europe bike festival on 1-2 June. These new components will be available for consumers in Fall 2019.
