SHIMANO CONNECT Lab enables various graph display and map display by uploading riding data to the cloud linked to SHIMANO ID. It analyzes and manages riding data to help you be a better rider.

Important Notice

  • 2021/07/27

    ●Note : In some cases, data transfer may fail when migrating your Cyclo-Sphere account to SHIMANO ID.

    (Follow the steps below to complete data transfer successfully.)

    1. Ensure that your computer or smartphone browser is not set to incognito mode or private browsing mode.

    2. On the "Create a new SHIMANO ID to log in" screen, enter the information required to sign up for SHIMANO ID , then click [Submit].

    3. An email will be sent  to the specified  email address.

    4. Open the email on the device you used  to [Submit] your information  in Step 2. Copy the “ *URL ”included in the email and paste it into the address bar on the browser in use, then open the email address verification page.

    *If the default browser is different from the one you used to [Submit] your information , do not click  the URL.

    This completes the ID migration process.

    ● The cases where analysis of ride data (.db file) uploaded from a Pioneer cycle computer fails or takes a considerable amount of time have been reduced, but we are still working to improve the performance.
    If this issue occurs, please try to upload the ride data again later.

    ● The following issues have been confirmed in some cases related to ride data transfer to external services where links to their website are set up.

    ・Transfer cannot be completed normally.

    ・Part of the ride data is not displayed on external services.

    ● In addition, the following issues have been confirmed in some cases related to migration from Cyclo-Sphere.

    ・Unable to use an email address to log in to Cyclo-Sphere.

    ・The ride data uploaded to Cyclo-Sphere is not transferred correctly to SHIMANO CONNECT Lab.

    Previously saved ride data will not be lost due to the aforementioned issues.

    We are working urgently to resolve these issues. Please be patient while we work to restore service to normal. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Ride more to get used to riding

To improve your riding skill effectively, make as much riding time on your bike as you can to feel that you are making progress, rather than going through hard training. 

Ride with your friends on weekends or with more experienced cyclists to learn more about cycling. To stay motivated, review your ride data after the ride to see your growth and changes. Enjoy sharing the results with your friends.

Increase power output without increasing heart rate

In road racing, the most important thing is how you can ride efficiently and maintain your physical strength so that your legs can pedal at full power when needed. Improve FTP (average power you can output when riding at full power for an hour) to increase riding efficiency. To do so, power training that improves your muscle strength and cardiopulmonary function can help. Approx. 3 months of power training can improve them more effectively. Take advantage of SHIMANO CONNECT Lab to review your maximum hourly power and your training menu.

    To customers who failed to transfer data from their Cyclo-Sphere account

    A procedure to fix the data transfer error is now available.
    On SHIMANO CONNECT Lab, select "Settings" in the side menu and then "Migrate Your Cyclo-Sphere Account" to migrate accounts that have Cyclo-Sphere ride data. Click here for more information.
    Note that for customers whose accounts can be migrated using the information on the system, a message that prompts account migration is displayed when they log in. Please follow the instructions to migrate. Click here for more information.

  • 2021/08/02

    ● The issue where a login fails even after you have reset your password to log in to SHIMANO CONNECT Lab from the Pioneer SGX-CA600 or Cyclo-Sphere Control app for smartphones has been resolved.
    Customers who failed to log in, please refer to the procedure here and perform all the steps from STEP 1. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    ● The issue where resetting a password fails has been resolved.
    Customers who clicked the "Click here if you are transferring your ride data from Cyclo-Sphere" button on the SHIMANO CONNECT Lab Top Page and failed to log in to Cyclo-Sphere with your email address, please click the "If you have forgotten your password" button in the lower right corner of the screen to reset your password again.
    After performing the above, click the "Click here if you are transferring your ride data from Cyclo-Sphere" again to proceed to the ride data transfer procedure.

    ● Regarding the ride data transfer to external services where web links are set up, the following issues have been resolved.

    ・Transfer to STRAVA fails.
    To submit the data again, perform. the step "(4) Post".

    ・Transfer fails when multiple files are selected on Activity List.

    ● The time to analyze ride data (.FIT file) uploaded from non-Pioneer cycle computers has been reduced.

    ● The following issues related to migration from Cyclo-Sphere have been resolved.

    ・Unable to use Google or Facebook to log in to Cyclo-Sphere.

    ・While linking to SHIMANO ID, an error (*1) is displayed on the SHIMANO ID PORTAL site and the process to agree to SHIMANO CONNECT Lab terms of use cannot be completed successfully.
