15 available assist characters provide a wide range of bike categories, so that riders of many skill/fitness levels, preferences, and bike categories can enjoy optimal assist.

Handle the heat

Thanks to the combination of materials with robust heat dissipation, a larger molded-in surface area, and a completely redesigned motor housing, EP801 can handle rising temperatures on climbs, meaning you get the maximum torque for an extended period of time.

Intelligent walk assist

When walking the bike up a mountain trail, intelligent walk assist automatically adjusts drive unit output torque to keep the bike speed at 4 km/h no matter which gear ratio is used. Starting with EP801, mechanical walk assist has been improving to the same level as Di2 intelligent walk assist to make off-the-bike handling even easier for more riders.
