Lazer Recall Header

LAZER SPORT NV "LAZER" has identified that in some cases certain BLADE, MAGMA, ELLE and JADE bicycle helmets sold since January 2015 do not pass roll-off tests under the CPSC standards. As a result, in rare circumstances, the strap anchorage may detatch from the helmet during impact. It only concerns sizes XS and S of the CPSC helmets sold in North America.

To date, we are not aware of any reports of incidents and we consider the safety risk to be very low. However, as some products do not meet CPSC standards, LAZER has decided voluntarily to understake a recall of the helmets affected in countries where the roll-off test is a mandatory requirement. To find out whether the standard is applicable in your country, please visit our website for further details or contact your local LAZER dealer.

The LAZER helmets affected in North America are only the following models:

No other LAZER helmets are affected.

The models affected were sold in a variety of colors.

A white sticker with the model name, identification code and size can be found inside the helmet as shown here:

If you are in possession of an affected helmet, please contact the dealer you bought it from as soon as possible to arrange for a free of charge replacement helmet. The replacement helmets with new model names BLADE+ and MAGMA+ have a new strap anchorage designed to meet the required CPSC standards. They can also be identified by teh new ID codes "LZB-081" and "LZB-181".

We apologize for any inconvience. For additional questions, please call: 1.800.423.2420 in the U.S. (8a.m.~5p.m. Mon.~Fri, PT) 1.877.377.5211 (8a.m.~5p.m. ET) for Canada.
