Shimano Details Lazer Distribution Structure for North America

Following the completion of purchase announcement on August 31, 2016 of Lazer Sport NV (Lazer) by Shimano Europe, Shimano American Corporation (SAC) provides additional details regarding the distribution of Lazer products in the United States and Canada.

Effective immediately, SAC becomes responsible for management of the Lazer brand for the United States and so does its Canadian subsidiary, Shimano Canada Limited (SCL), for Canada.

Dave Pfeiffer, SAC President, noted “Lazer is a leading global brand with a long history of quality and innovation in the helmet business. This makes Lazer a great addition to Shimano’s team and brand portfolio in North America. We look forward to building our sales and service network for retailers in the U.S. and Canada in the future.”

SAC will be responsible for sales of the Lazer brand in the United States along with authorized distributor QBP. In Canada, Live To Play will remain as an authorized distributor.

SAC hired industry veteran Peter Kukula as the North American Brand Director and Christopher Smith as the North American Marketing Manager.

“I am excited to be joining the Shimano family. The sales opportunity for Lazer in North America is a perfect merger with a professional sales force. Our goal is to remain the most profitable and easy to work with helmet brand in North America,” said Kukula.
