Heat ventilation is critical to controlling human athletic performance. Our rear-facing ventilation panels use natural airflow to pull heated air from the back, the largest heat-sink on the body. The result is as much as -6.5°C temperature reduction in real-world use.
A precision-cut back panel of highly breathable mesh fabric promotes sweat evaporation and heat release. This works alongside the technical fabrics in our summer jerseys to cool you down when the mercury rises in real-world use.
UTILIZING SWEAT EVAPORATION FOR ENHANCED HEAT RELEASE

Heat rapidly rises during Summer riding conditions. In laboratory simulations, there is as much as a 6.5°C raise in skin surface temperature on the back in as little as 10 minutes. Using this area is critical in controlling the body's heat gain. By using this area where sweat naturally pools, Shimano engineers and designers help riders maintain their performance level longer on warm to hot days.

Using open-mesh fabrics in strategic areas can help lower body heat buildup, while maintaining comfort and protection. By utilizing the concave area between the shoulder blades as a channel, we place our highly-breathable mesh fabrics in the natural airflow, and are able to reduce skin temperature as much as 5 degrees C.

A ceramic print on the fabric reflects the sun's rays to keep the surface temperature from rising. Compared to conventional fabric, this advanced fabric remains 3°C cooler. Ideal for high-speed cycling under the blazing sun.

With mesh fabric in all of its panels, this jersey is officially the coolest model for summer. Great for big hill climbs in the sun and humid days. Micro rough mesh structure at inner side spreads air coming through holes in outer mesh.

This jersey incorporates an advanced fabric with a surface featuring an indented concave-convex pattern. The convex parts are from a non-absorbent fiber that keeps the skin dry, while the concave parts employ an absorbent fiber that takes in perspiration and disperses it for quick drying. Remain comfortable when the heat is on.
