The S-PHYRE Thermal Gloves provide riders the absolute pinnacle of control and protection. SHIMANO knows gear shifters and brake levers better than anyone, so our gloves offer flexibility and protection in all the right places. New gusset construction increases range of motion in the fingers and a new design improves overall unification and integration in the palm section. At the same time,a metallic thermal titanium layer resists cold on the outside and reflects body heat inside to maintain warmth within the glove.

The hand is among the most complicated of body parts, with 27 bones and extreme ranges of motion on every plane. Cyclists’ hands are also positioned at the leading edge of the bicycle, where they absorb shock and vibrations, and receive the brunt of wind and chill. Cold hands can compromise shifting and overall comfort, cause debilitating numbness, and result in a poor riding experience.

SHIMANO takes the rider-to-bike control interface very seriously. And just like we design our shifting levers starting from the complex ergonomics of the hand, we do exactly the same when designing SHIMANO FUSION CONCEPT gloves.

We have updated our Advanced 3D shape to better conform to the natural curve of the human hand. Less fabric, no bunching — a more secure, form-fitting control levers interface.
