LAST

We create optimal last shapes by collecting and analyzing the measurement data from a large number of riders’ feet.
Comfort and pedaling performance are improved when riders’ feet fit securely in their shoes without needing to over-tighten the closure.

SHIMANO DYNALAST for racing

Its optimal toe-spring positioning is vital for a smooth and energy-efficient upstroke. Positioning too high increases muscle tension, while positioning too low results in an inefficient pedaling form.

SHIMANO DYNALAST helps reduce energy loss on long rides, letting you keep more in the tank for that final sprint to the line.

WOMEN’S SPECIFIC LAST

Our Women’s Specific lasts are tuned to ensure a better fit and performance for the smaller volume and narrower proportions of female cyclists’ feet.

We offer women’s specific designs for all our lasts to provide the optimal balance of support and comfort for a wide range of female riders.

UPPER

Our Surround Wrapping Upper surrounds the whole foot with a seamless piece of leather, which creates a better fit with fewer gaps between shoes and feet.

OUTSOLE

OPTIMIZED COMPOSITIONS

SHIMANO gravel shoes are made with rigid and rugged materials to support pedaling and walking on rough terrain. They feature stiff and lightweight midsoles for efficient gravel pedaling and durable TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) outsoles that deliver excellent traction on rough terrain.

STIFFNESS INDEX

Outsole stiffness is optimized for different riding uses.
More rigid options prioritize power output and less rigid options allow for greater walkability.

INSOLE TECHNOLOGY

Our gravel racing shoes RX8 comes with two arch pad inserts so riders can adjust the fit and support level of the shoes.

RX6 have ventilation to help keep feet cool and dry on intense rides.

The anti-slip surface holds feet in place to support pedaling efficiency.
