South Africa’s Alan Hatherly finished two weeks of world-class mountain biking in Switzerland with a defining ride to win the XCO Men’s Elite World Championship. On a course that demanded consistency, power, and flawless bike handling, Hatherly set the pace and never looked back.

Every second counted, and every pedal stroke relied on trusted equipment. With XTR as his groupset of choice, Hatherly turned control into confidence and confidence into gold.

Cross-Country (XCO)

Hatherly’s win was the cherry on top of a weekend of cross-country success. Swiss rider Alessandra Keller matched the achievement with victory in the XCO Women’s Elite, thrilling the home crowd with precision and endurance in equal measure.

In the Men’s U23 XCO, Finn Treudler displayed a consistent performance, earning him his rainbow jersey, and Šerkezi Maruša Tereza won the Junior edition in the XCO category

Enduro (E-EDR & Elite)

The enduro stages tested riders across varied terrain, long transfers, and demanding technical sections. Shimano athletes rose to the challenge:

  • Richie Rude – Enduro Men’s Elite Champion
  • Elly Hoskin – Enduro Women’s Elite Champion
  • George Swift – E-EDR Women’s Elite Champion

Each showed the combination of stamina, handling, and focus required to succeed in one of MTB’s toughest formats.

Downhill (DH)

Few moments match the intensity of downhill finals, where margins are razor-thin. Jackson Goldstone delivered when it mattered most, claiming the Downhill Men’s Elite World Championship with a run that balanced precision and speed on one of the season’s most testing tracks.

Equipped with a mix of XTR and SAINT components, Goldstone showcased the best of his ability at the highest level. A rising talent, Rosa Zierl earned herself a gold medal in the Junior category.
