Three World Champions fill the roster for Team Alpecin-Deceuninck this year. Van der Poel, Pieterse, and Gaze all had exemplary seasons last year. Commenting on his return to the MTB stage, Van der Poel said: “If I had to choose one goal for the year, it would be to become the MTB World Champion.” Gaze and Pieterse both put in impressive sessions during the 2024 Olympics. We can surely expect a great deal from this great team. Besides riding XTR the team will wear S-PHYRE shoes—crafted for champions.

Cannondale Factory Racing

Jolanda Neff, Charlie Aldridge, Luca Martin, Ana Santos, Cole Punchard

There are big changes at CFR, with 2020 Olympic gold medalist, multiple-discipline World Champion and 17-time World Cup winner Jolanda Neff joining the squad and the Shimano family. We are delighted to welcome BMC Factory Racing to Shimano. This team has a serious racing pedigree, and it was headlined in 2025 by three French stars. Loana Lecomte, Multiple National Champion, World Cup winner, and former World and European Champion, joins the squad. 2020 World Champion Jordan Sarou is one of the most successful and experienced riders in the pack, and Titouan Carod is fighting back to World Cup-winning form following their injury in 2024. Besides riding XTR, the team will wear S-PHYRE footwear.

It’s a new-look Orbea team line-up for 2025, with only Belgian Champion Pierre de Froidmont remaining. Jackson Goldstone, Laurie Greenland, Nina Hoffmann, Eliana Hulsebosch, Felix Griffiths

Jackson Goldstone was sidelined in 2024 with a torn ACL, and his 2025 comeback is highly anticipated. He is one of the most exciting talents in DH racing, and we can’t wait to see his iconic style and killer speed back on track. Laurie Greenland and Nina Hoffmann will look to pick up where they left off in 2024, fighting for more podiums. Ellie Hulsebosch and Felix Griffiths join in the junior ranks, where Ellie will look to once again lay down some mega victories.

With a new bike dedicated to his successful comeback, there’s lots to look out for. Joining him at Yeti is the 2020 World Champion and 2022 World Cup overall winner, Cami Balanche.

Enduro remains a big goal for Yeti, with Slawomir Lukasik chasing World Cup wins and King of Crankworx, Ryan Gilchrist, defending his e-EDR title. This is a serious Yeti Gathering!

In a Nutshell

The biggest change this year will be the number of races. Cross-country and downhill have ten rounds each, while enduro is back up to seven.

From 30 August to 14 September, the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships will make history with two action-packed weeks of competition. For the first time ever, all eight mountain bike disciplines will come together in one epic host region: Switzerland.

For the downhillers, La Thuile and Lake Placid are new venues that always attract exciting riders and provide enjoyable racing. They head back to Lenzerheide after a one-year hiatus, and with the change from September to June, there’s a chance it might not rain in Loudenvielle!

The enduro season sees a classic Italian trilogy, with Pietra Ligure, Val di Fassa and La Thuile all on the calendar. There is enough pizza, pasta and gelato to fuel them through to the season finale in Haute-Savoie.

Our cross-country racers' season is bookended in the Americas, with Brazil kicking off the party and Mont-Sainte-Anne closing the season, just as in 2024, while Saalfelden Leogang and Lenzerheide make their return.

A mixture of new venues, extra rounds, fresh kits, super-charged squads and renewed motivation will make the 2025 season full of fireworks from the very start. We can’t wait to see how the show unfolds!
