So, Kilian, tell us about your job.

        ‘My job? Having fun and feeling free while pushing myself further than ever.’

I can’t stand boredom. My life is a collection of passions, each more consuming than the last. Cycling has always been, and will always be, the foundation of everything. It has been by my side every day for the past 20 years. Through cycling, I express myself, stay creative, and hear that little voice in my head reminding me how lucky I am. 

As mountain bikers, we’re part of a niche sport that's rapidly growing and often shaped by rules and expectations, for better or worse. I try instead to carve my own path without limitations, staying as true to myself as possible.

This film captures a chapter of my life. It lays it bare without a filter. I reveal what drives me, what fuels me. But  what gives depth to the life of an athlete or ambassador, far more than just a series of training sessions, races, and commitments to sponsors. I don’t see my career as a job in the traditional sense. I explore topics that matter to me: my perspective on the cycling world today, my travels, the people I meet, and everything that enriches my journey.

That’s what inspires me: breaking free from unnecessary constraints. I try to keep an outsider’s perspective to move forward and bring something different to the table. This film is part of that approach.

These images are an open invitation to discussion, and I can’t wait to hear your stories about cycling. What does this passion give you? Where has it taken you?

The people I’ve met have always mattered more than anything else. They’ve guided me toward the right choices at key moments. Sometimes, the wrong ones, too. But they’re the ones I rely on to move forward. Because they inspire me, challenge me, fascinate me, or even disappoint me.

Traveling gives me a unique view of the world and fuels my creativity. I’ve always expressed my dreams through striking visuals and the beauty of movement, often through riding. But this time, that’s not the main focus.

This time, I want to take you into a rawer universe, my life beyond the dream. I want to show you the most honest version of it so you can better understand its foundations. I sometimes push too far, driven by my hyperactivity, but I try to own it fully. Twenty-six minutes aren’t enough to tell the whole story, but it’s a crucial first step in unveiling our daily lives, the lives of passionate, self-taught individuals.

The lives of those constantly writing the next chapter, pushing themselves to the edge, both in the mountains and life. Including  those striving to balance work and personal life in a sport as demanding as cycling.

I also want to shine a light on my friends, filmmakers, photographers and you, who might see a reflection of your own fast-paced life in mine. In your way, I’m sure you’ll find echoes of my journey in yours.
