Shimano wheels are tried and tested under extreme conditions to ensure the utmost in reliability and robustness. But sometimes, unfortunately, crashes do occur. That’s why Shimano has a crash replacement program offering a 50% discount (on the current Suggested Retail Price, RRP) on the purchase of your new wheel or pair of wheels at your local bike shop.

How does it work?

  • If your wheels are damaged due to a crash, you can apply for Shimano’s Crash Replacement Program through your local bike shop.
  • Your local bike shop will inspect the wheel, judge the damage and determine if your wheels are eligible for the Crash Replacement Program.
  • If all the conditions are met, your local bike shop can order a new wheel or pair of wheels at Shimano.
  • You can now purchase the wheel or pair of wheels at a discount of 50% off the current RRP.

Conditions

  • The Crash Replacement Program applies to all Shimano carbon wheels released from June 5th 2025 onwards, starting with the new carbon XTR wheels (M9200 series).
  • The program offers a discount of 50% on the current RRP from the retailer.
  • Participation in the program is possible for up to 3 years after purchase.
  • This program only applies to the original owner of the wheels.
  • This program applies to all wheels including those that came with the purchase of a complete bike.
  • To participate in the program, it is necessary to provide an original proof of purchase from Australian participating retailer.
  • This program is applicable to damaged wheels beyond repair. This excludes replaceable parts and visible damage like scratches. General wear & tear from normal usage is not included.
  • Bearings, free hubs and spokes are designed to be replaced if needed.
  • This program is limited to damaged or broken rims only.
  • The program is not connected, in any way, to warranty handling. It cannot be combined with or substitute for any Shimano warranty process.
  • Participation in the program is up to a local bike shop’s own discretion.
  • A cash refund of your damaged wheel is not part of this program.
  • This program is applicable in Australia only.
  • Shimano reserves the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue the CRP at any time, without prior notice.
