SHIMANO Di2 STI levers integrate shifting and braking into one seamless control system. With electronic shift buttons and hydraulic braking in a single unit, riders can shift gears, operate lights, or control cycling computers without ever taking their hands off the bars.

Rear Derailleur

The SHMANO Di2 rear derailleur is the command center, managing shifts and connecting with the entire system. It also houses the system’s main junction and integrated battery (on GRX RD-RX827). A built-in function button communicates battery life, shift modes, and connects to the E-TUBE PROJECT app.

Front Derailleur

Essential for 2x setups, the front derailleur enables wide gear ranges and smaller shift steps. It connects directly to the battery and delivers smooth, reliable chain movement up front.

SHIMANO Di2 Battery

The BT-DN300 internal lithium-ion battery used in 2x setups powers front and rear derailleurs and lasts approximately 1,000 km per charge and has a lifespan of approximately 300 full charge cycles. That’s more than 11 years of weekly use. For 1x systems using a new wireless Di2 rear derailleur, the battery is housed inside the rear derailleur and can be removed to charge. It also lasts approximately 1,000 km per charge.

Important notice for E-BIKE battery BT-E8016 users

It has been confirmed that there are cases where the bicycle cannot be started after the BT-E8016 battery has been fully charged. If this occurs, plug the charger into the battery, confirm the LED lights up, then remove the charging plug. This enables the bicycle to be started.
